The number of particles, morphology and identity of unknown materials in samples are determined qualitatively and quantitatively using microparticle analyses.
The use of optical microscopes and laser spectroscopic analysis methods enables particle identification down to the micrometer range.
The submitted samples are analyzed for their ingredients using FT-IR, RAMAN spectroscopy, LIBS and SEM/EDS. The membranes required for this are produced in-house and also sold. We are therefore able to track the microparticles from visual inspection through to isolation and determine the shape, number and identity of foreign bodies and product-related particles in the samples.
Our employees also carry out particle counts in accordance with USP 788, Method 1 & 2, membrane counts and the analysis of subvisual and visual particles.
This, combined with a comprehensive database, allows us to find, identify and characterize every particle.
After analyzing your samples, you will receive a detailed CMC report, if required within 24 hours. We can also determine the silicone layer, e.g. in syringes, cartridges, vials, etc. and establish a correlation to the silicone layer quality/homogeneity and possible influence on the formulation.
